Lisa McCune plays Jean in the MTC's production of Sarah Ruhl's 'Dead Man's Cell Phone'. The surreal and romantic fantasy centres on Jean's decision to answer the ringing phone of stranger seated next to her at a cafe.
Quickly realising that the phone's owner has croaked she is consumed with feelings of responsibility for the dead man’s family.
But responsibilities taken up lightly can become burdens in time.
Dead Man’s Cell Phone is about the need to connect in a technologically obsessed world.
