Benjamin Law, one of Australia’s leading writers, refreshingly funny social commentators and genuinely delightful humans is here in Melbourne today and tomorrow to launch his new book, Gaysia.

Gaysia is a collection of essays, documenting Law’s tour of gay culture and happenings in Asia.

Not one to shy away from much at all, Law offers himself up to all sorts of situations to get a sense of what it’s really like to be gay in Asia. Occasionally he does this nude, like the time he visited a Balinese sex resort. Law covers the serious too, like the devastating prevalence of Chinese gays and lesbians marrying to appease their families.
