Since forming in 2001, Lance Ferguson and his band have become known for their funky ‘60s and ‘70s sounds, having been labelled one of the best funk and soul bands of our time. This highly talented group are back on a national tour in support of Medicine Man, their fifth album. The Bamboos have gallivanted around Europe three times now, playing in prestigious locations including The Barbican and The Jazz Café in London.
A number of notable Australian music stars have collaborated with Ferguson for Medicine Man, including Tim Rogers, Washington and Daniel Merriweather. Just in case you needed another reason to see them perform, The Bamboos featured in The Age’s Top 100 list of influential people in Melbourne city for 2008.
