Minutes vs Margins, Melt Banana and Super Rydeen Machine
October 10th, 9 p.m.

Noise music may well be an acquired taste, but like most things you have to work at, it promises great long-term returns (tinnitus aside). Legendary Japanese avant-rock outfit Melt Banana play with local post-punk band Margins and melodic rockers Minutes (who will share the stage) and Super Rydeen Machine, playing songs by ’70s Japanese electro-pop group Yellow Magic Orchestra. This gig is one of a number of great line-ups featured in the Beck’s Rumpus Room series at the Forum Theatre. Not one for the faint hearted or the hard of hearing (as it’s likely to exacerbate any pre-existing conditions), this gig promises to be loud, hyperactive, experimental, riotous and discordant – in the best possible way.
