After a sell-out season in Queensland, David Williamson's acclaimed work Let the Sunshine returns to the Melbourne Theatre Company. Starring John Wood and Jacki Weaver, the play focuses on how individuals at opposing ends of the political scale co-exist. Toby, a left wing documentary maker, flees from Sydney to Noosa, only to find the quaint fishing town of his childhood memories inhabited by the wealthy Sydney-siders he wished to escape. These include his right-wing property-developer nemesis Ron. Chaos ensues when Toby's son and Ron's daughter hit it off, and the political rivals' short term acquaintance becomes a long term problem.
