This Canadian musician sings, writes his own music, and has produced nearly every aspect of his four albums to date. But distancing himself even more from other rappers is his central theme of positivity, and the anti-glorification of main-stream hip-hop's obsession with money, fame and violence. His two albums, Joyful Rebellion (2004) and Atlantis: Hymns for Disco (2006) received every award afforded by the Canadian music industry. Still not convinced?
