The Hi-Fi attracts gigs of all genres. It started during World War II as the first newsreel cinema in Melbourne, and now hosts a bevy of high-profile music acts year round, as well as being a central Melbourne International Comedy Festival venue. The sound in this place is incredible. With a renovation and sound system overhaul, The Hi-Fi is definitely one of Melbourne’s best for sound and uninterrupted stage views – depending on the head height of those in front of you. The sound is so good, in fact, that they record their gigs and release an official bootleg series so you’re able to keep that awesome show on hand. Grab a drink from the bar and prepare to be wowed. |
