apillionaire’s Sydney store is tucked away at the top of Albion Way and Bellevue Street in Surry Hills. The Melbourne-based company, which makes simple yet stylish Dutch vintage-inspired bikes, opened their second Australian store in December last year.

Their Sydney outlet is a laid-back affair. A lovely little white-walled, studio-style space dotted with potted flowers and super cute bike accessories including spokey dokes, bells, lights, horns and bright or printed Nutcase helmets.

Papillionaire’s two stock bikes perch proudly in the centre of the space: the Classic (a deep frame men’s sports bike, and the Sommer (an upright sitting step-through frame bike for the ladies). Both are stylish and affordable 3-speed easy riders, which can be customised through your choice of tyre colour, saddle, grips, carriers, baskets, toe clips and mudguards. Orders can also be placed online and shipped anywhere across Oz.

Staff are friendly and helpful and are more than happy for you take their two-wheeled babies out for a test run. Those in the market for a sweet, classy ride should pay Papillionaire a visit.
