Iconic surf filmmaker Taylor Steele and photographer Chris Searl document a two-week long Mexican escape.

O

n Mexico Time is something to get excited about. Documented by filmmaker Taylor Steele and photographer Chris Searl, this video captures a two-week creative journey shared by artists, as they travel and surf across the corners of Mexico.

The video’s backing track was written and recorded by Australian group MT Warning at Corona’s La Casa, an inspiring beachfront destination offering artists a unique residency to create in solitude, away from the city.

A converted beach shack studio, La Casa is a place where artists of various disciplines are invited, and so far Corona has invited the likes of Australian rockers, Wolf & Cub, American designer/illustrator Evan Hecox, and folk artist, Julia Stone to work in this idyllic location.

Working with Corona, we’ll be sending some of our favourite restaurant teams and designers to La Casa. Creating videos alongside Steele and Searl, these artist residencies will be captured and showcased for us to watch right here.

In between the musical, artistic and surfing projects that will also be recorded, these videos will provide you with a rare insight into the individual workings of each different stay, the people and the creations from their visit.

If you’re in need of some online inspiration, head over to lacasa.net.au and check out what’s been happening at Corona’s private beachside retreat. On Mexico Time is just the beginning of what you can expect to see.
