Made entirely of reclaimed materials, local architect studio Edwards Moore have designed the Offcut Stool.

A

s a contribution to this year's State of Design Festival as part of the Raising the Bar event, Melbourne based architecture studio Edwards Moore designed and constructed a set of bar stools for Order of Melbourne’s rooftop bar.

Made entirely from reclaimed materials, they used discarded timber offcuts from skips, building yards and friends’ gardens to create the structure. Bound together using an industrial ratchet, the top is then sanded and finished with linseed oil, putty and wax to smooth out the surface.

Edwards Moore are also looking to produce further seating editions together with a coffee table, all made with offcuts.
